  • informs that the FPLC device model AZURA manufactured by KNAUER company in Germany is now ready to provide services to the applicants in the central laboratory of Shiraz University. The FPLC device of the central laboratory of Shiraz University is equipped with an absorption detector in the wavelength range of 190 to 750 nm and with a maximum pressure of 400 bar.
  • This advanced device can be used to separate different substances, especially proteins. The central laboratory device of Shiraz University is now ready to provide services to respected colleagues and applicants outside the university with the Eurospher-100 C18 column with a height of 30 and a diameter of 2.5 cm. Hydrophobic interactions are the basis of material separation with this column. It is necessary for applicants to use this device to pay attention to the following before transferring the samples to the central laboratory:

1- Before transferring the samples to the column, it is necessary to pass the 0.4 micrometer filter in the presence of the device operator.

2- It is essential that the electrical conductivity of the distilled water used to prepare the solutions is about 0.05 microsiemens.

3- The solvents used must be of HPLC grade.

4- It is not possible to use non-polar solvents such as n-heptane, n-hexane and isopropanol, as well as similar solvents when using a non-polar C18 column.

5- It is necessary that the pH range of the used solutions is between 2 and 8.
